The Central Linn Community Foundation will be the name used by BCF publically in the future. The Board voted unanimously to use the name that better describes the area of public service for the organization. For legal purposes the name will not change, but for public use, it is now the CLCF. This action was taken during the August Board meeting on Thursday, August 4. During the same meeting the Board continued to update the planning for CLCF for the next five years by passing changes to the By-Laws, establishing an established definition of a community foundation, and by establishing a calendar for the now and the next year.

The members also established committees to establish firm policies for the grant selection criteria, new Board member selection procedures, fund management and fiscal reporting, and methods of accepting gifts to CLCF. Each committee will report results at the next meeting on September 1, 2016.
