Meeting was called to order at 3:10 by President Kathy.
The minutes of the February meeting were read and accepted as presented. The minutes of the March meeting were also read and accepted as presented.
It was noted that we had made a decision via email regarding computer repair and that we need to have minutes of this action. Chenoweth will do them and send them to everybody. From Emails in April 2020: On April 24, 2020, Vance Parrish emailed the Board regarding computer repairs to the laptop that Don Ware uses. He informed the board that the hard drive was failing, and that he had started looking for a replacement. He thought it would cost between $60 and $100 depending on what kind of deal he could find on a quality hard drive. He will also be charging us $50 for the repair. He requested approval for up to $150 so he could proceed. Responses were received from Norma, Chenoweth, Sharon, Wendy, and Jan giving him the go ahead.
The treasurer’s report was given by Don. We received $1,000 from Sweet Home Sanitation, which is a pass through donation for their scholarship. Our ending balance as of April 30, 2020 was $10,069.57. The report was approved as presented.
Grants were discussed. Sharon reported that the Central Linn Gleaners had talked to her about applying, but no application was received. The following grants were awarded: Sharing Hands Food Bank – $2,200; Sharing Hands Parents & Pals – $600; Living Rock Studios – $1,000; Brownsville Garden Club – $600; Meals On Wheels – $1,000; CLES PTC – $500. Don moved and Wendy seconded the motion that these grants be approved.
Sharon brought up that we could maybe do a fundraising event in the future.
The swap meet will also be kept for the future.
Lance said that he would have More Ink do a proof of the brochure.
Next meeting will be held on June 4th.
Meeting adjourned at 3:40.
