Don called the meeting to order at 3:00.
The minutes of the April meeting were approved as presented.
There was no treasurer’s report.
The gala was discussed. It will be September 29th from 5-9 at the Central Valley Church in Halsey. Set up will be from 5-6. Mary is still working on the catering. Mary and Norma will be in charge. Invitations should be done by the first of August. There will possibly be music for entertainment.
Our funds with Benton Community Foundation were discussed. According to Don, we have $1,893.18 spendable funds, which he told them to reinvest.
There will be a conference for non-profits on June 24th at the OSU alumni center for those interested.
Fund raising was discussed. We will do our annual letter in October when we do the letters we will include a thank you for attending the gala. Norma will have a table at Pioneer Picnic with information for those interested. Don will do a presentation to the fire departments. Mary suggested that we could also make presentations to the Parent Teacher Club and booster club at Central Linn.
Mary said she would put the grant information on Facebook. She will include a donation request.
It was decided to leave our reserve funds with BCF and not invest them in CDs, as had been suggested.
Next meeting will be July 6th at 3 at the Library.
