The meeting was called to order by Kathy at 3:00.
The minutes of the September meeting were accepted as presented.
Wendy gave the Treasurer’s report. We have a balance of $8,963.32. Don brought up that we should keep in contact with Benton Community Foundation and invite them to a meeting, since they seem to consider us as donors to BCF and not that they are managing our funds. The treasurer’s report was accepted as presented.
The community Preparedness Dinner was discussed. It will be held on Oct. 21st at the Senior Center/American Legion hall. Don will man a table and will have brochures and pins. Kathy will have a poster for the table. Other members will also be there.
The donor letter was discussed. It was accepted, and we should have our letters done by the next meeting on Nov. 3. The donor list was divided among the board.
Mary is still working on Facebook, and she’ll work with Kathy’s granddaughter on it.
Nominations for 2023 officers were discussed. Kathy does not want to be president. Norma agreed to continue as Vice President, Wendy agreed to continue as Treasurer, Chenoweth agreed to continue as Secretary. Don said that he would be President. Therefore, it was decided that there was no need for a nominating committee.
Dan Murphy was brought up as a possible Board member.
Next meeting will be on Nov. 3rd.
